All Holland Bowl Mill products ship pre-treated with Bee's Oil Wood Preserver. It's 100% food-safe and made from beeswax and natural oils. It penetrates deeply, protects against moisture and staining, and won't leave a sticky residue like vegetable oil does. Reapply every other month or whenever the wood looks dry.
